Goodwill Summer Update
As you will see elsewhere in the Village Link Magazine, the Goodwill
summer fete will be held soon, on Saturday 6th September from 2pm
in the amenity field behind the Chequers Public House.
There will be lots of things to see and do including our popular Teas
and Cakes stand, BBQ, China Smash, White Elephant and Water or
Wine stalls. Village organisations will be well represented as well and
we are expecting a number of external stalls including a Woodturner, a
display of rescued Owls and Jewellery and other local businesses.
In the central ring we will have our fun dog show, tug of war and other
entertainment, so pimp up your pooches and get your teams ready to
enter.
We will be visiting every home in our 4 villages to distribute
programmes for the fete and sell raffle tickets, please do support us as
the summer fete and raffle is our major fundraising event of the
year. New this year is a pull-out children’s colouring competition
included within the fete programme with prizes for different age
groups that will be judged on the day.
The fete relies on our small committee and our Friends of Goodwill to
organise, setup, run and clear up after the event. If you are able to
help us in any way, selling raffle tickets in advance or helping on the
day, please do get in contact with Geoffrey on 07720 805620
or geoffrey@wrestlingworthgoodwillfund.org.uk
